IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kandyce F.
Callender

Kandyce F. Callender
On Monday, March 10th, 2025, Kandyce F. Callender passed away after a short battle with cancer. Her final weekend was just how she would have wanted, surrounded by love and her family. As people would come and say their goodbye's, talk, cry, laugh, love and cherish, one could feel her presence. Though her voice and normal commanding style might not have been on display as she rested peacefully there was no doubt she heard every word and smiled at the life she had built and the legacy she has left that will carry on in generations to come.
One never to mince words or hold back, you always knew where you stood with Kandy. At 5 foot tall she was always the largest personality in any room and in full control. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching design shows to say how she would do it differently and better. There was always a new project for her and the love of her life to conquer.
With her day and night, to the end, was Charles. Her rock, her love, her travel partner, the older boy with the quiet steadying presence that balanced her passionate fiery personality, building a world they could only dream of. Overcoming all that came their way they enjoyed almost 6 decades of memories that will never be lost and stories that will be told by all those they have touched and were lucky enough to be a part of their journey.
Kandy is survived by her husband, Charles D. Callender; her sister, Tina (Peter and Amy Turek) Tedford; brother, Chris (Cindy) Tedford; son, David (Callie) Callender; son Johnathan (Anna) Callender; beloved grandsons, Jack Callender, Justin Callender and Xavier Callender; nephew, Jeremy (Valerie) Tedford; and grand nieces, Lily, Sabrina and Rosalie Tedford. Also her second family/sister, Hilaneh (Gary) Vandia and her and Charlie's god-children, Nick and Kelsey.
Kandy is preceded in death by her mother, Faith Payton; father, John Joint; and brother, Russell Tedford.
