Judy Kay (Johnson) Virgin

Judy Kay (Johnson) Virgin, 70, of South Bloomingville, gained her Heavenly reward on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 surrounded by family at Logan Elm Healthcare, Circleville. She was born on July 20, 1953, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Henry and Carolyn (Callihan) Johnson.

Judy is survived by her brothers, Michael (Eileen) Johnson and Steven Johnson; sisters, Shelia (Roy) Hart, Brenda (Don "Buck") Speakman, and Robin Williams; sisters-in-law, Lisa Johnson and Cindy Johnson; 13 nieces and nephews, 40 great-nieces and nephews, 1 great-great-niece/nephew; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Virgin; four month old son who passed in 1973, Gregory Young; brothers, Paul Douglas Johnson and Gary Johnson; brother-in-law, John Williams; and many beloved fur babies.

Judy was a 1972 graduate of Logan Elm High School. She lived in many different states during her life including North Carolina, Missouri, and Georgia. Judy worked in healthcare for most of her life. She retired from the State prison system in 2018. Judy loved animals, especially dogs. After the sudden death of her only child, her fur babies became her kids. She was a faithful member of Circle of Faith Ministries, Kingston.

The family would like to thank the staff of Logan Elm Healthcare and Bellacare Hospice for the extraordinary care given to Judy during her illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Eric Umsted officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Chillicothe.
