Joyce (Lewis) Kozee

Joyce (Lewis) Kozee, 75, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 22, 1947, in Paintsville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Samuel Lewis and Myrtle (Thacker) Lewis, who survives.

Joyce is also survived by her daughters, Myrtle Barker and Vivian Garrett; special niece who is more like a daughter, Tasha Wickline; grandchildren, Michael (Cassie) Adkins, Tabitha Adkins, Justin Barker, Jonda (Chris) McCoy, Nathan Adkins, John "Bubby" McCoy, Amber (Nick) DeLong, Austin Adkins, Mariah Arms, and Ashtyn Hall; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Agnes (Dave) Runyon, Danny (Penny) Lewis, Phyllis (Paul Ed) Coleman, Eddie Lewis, Dean (Linda) Lewis, Tim (Cathy) Lewis, Arlene Lewis, and Darlene Hunt; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kozee; son, Samuel Adkins; grandson, Andrew; and two infant great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Boblett Cemetery with Pastor Paul Ed Coleman officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences and floral gifts can be made on Joyce's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
