Joseph "Joe" Allen Sprouse

Joseph "Joe" Allen Sprouse, 40, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1980 in Chillicothe.

Joe is survived by his parents, Carolyn Ann Abner and James Edward Abner; siblings, Patsy D. (Abner) Phillips, Kara (Abner) Hurley, and Justin Abner; many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, as well as fellow Marine Corps family; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Patsy Tripplett and Isaac and Jewel Sprouse; many aunts, uncles, and brothers and sisters in arms in the United States Marine Corps.

Joe graduated from Logan Elm High School and Pickaway Ross Vocational School Class of 1998. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He had also worked as a Corrections Officer at Ross County Correctional Institute, Chillicothe.

Private funeral services will be held at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery with military honors performed by the Ross County Veteran's Honor Guard. Covid-19 precautions will be observed with visitors maintaining social distancing and the requirement of face coverings.
