Joseph D. Coon II

Joseph D. Coon II, 49, of Kingston, went to his Heavenly home on May 8, 2024. He was born July 30, 1974, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Joseph D. Coon I and Mable Coon Hart (Melvin), who survives. Melvin was known to Joe as his second dad, whom he loved very much.

He is also survived by his children, Joseph D. Coon III and Lily A. Coon; the mother of his children who he was previously married to for 20 years, Alicia Coon; sisters, Mary (Tim) Cook, of Mulberry, Florida, Delsie (Bill) Krafthefer, of Chillicothe, and Tami (Nate) Barnes, of Fort Myers, Florida; step-sisters, Brenda Roundhouse, of Circleville, Cindy Johnson, of Hallsville, and Penny (Jon) West, of Chillicothe; step-brother, Terry (Sharon) Hart, of Kingston; and numerous special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was a 1992 graduate of Huntington High School. He was a very sweet, loving son, brother, and father who was loved by many and will be so sadly missed by all.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Doug Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery, Chillicothe. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hill's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's honor to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
