John David Karr

John David Karr, 73, of Kingston, passed away on February 15, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1944, in Laurelville, the son of the late Edgar and Hattie (Poling) Karr. On August 20, 1992, he was united in marriage with his loving wife, Ginger (Ullman) Karr, who survives.

John is also survived by his sons, Stacey Karr, of Circleville, and Dustin Karr, of McArthur; brother-in-laws, Dan (Veronica) Ullman, Jim (Rosie) Ullman, and Wesley (Vikki) Ullman; grandchildren, Joel, Ethan, Heath, Zayne, and Dacee; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Lois Swepston, Anne Rooney, and Don Karr.

John proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from DuPont after 36 years of service. John was a member of the Charleston Church of the Brethren, Chillicothe, and American Legion Post 291, Circleville.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call on Monday from 2 – 7 p.m. at Hill's.
