Obituary

Janice Ann (Lowery) Norman

    Janice Ann (Lowery) Norman, 84, of Laurelville, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026 at OhioHealth Berger Hospital following an extended illness. She was born June 3, 1942, in South Bloomingville, the daughter of the late Harold Amos and Betty R. (Stelle) Lowery.

    She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Francis Lee Norman; children, Shannon Hart (Casey) and Brent Norman; grandchildren, Shawn Norman, Jessy Norman, Monica Norman, Savannah Norman, and Heather Norman; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Keith (Kris) Lowery and Terry Lowery; special niece, Raeshell Matney; several other nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

    In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her children, Shawn Norman and Tracey Norman; grandchildren, Erik Norman and Jacob Hart; sister, Rita Tatman; brothers-in-law, Donald Norman, Guy Norman, David (Nancy) Norman, and Ray Tatman; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sams.

    Janice attended Laurelville High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janice was a selfless, generous, and loving person who would always put others first. She will be deeply missed.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Hills.
