Janice Marie (Congrove) Bickel

Janice (Congrove) Bickel, 70, of Kingston, died on February 14, 2015 at her home with her family at her side.  She was born on May 11, 1944, the daughter of Walter and Wilma (Hettinger) Congrove.  On Sept. 5, 1967, she married David James Bickel, who preceded her in April 22, 2010.

She was also predeceased by her father, Walter.  Janice was a 1962 Laurelville H. S. graduate, worked 15 years at G. E. in Circleville, and has worked at Kenworth Truck Company since 1981.

Surviving are sons, Michael Kenneth Bickel and Matthew (Cindy Schwalbach) Bickel; mother, Wilma Congrove; brother, Pearl "Pete" Congrove; and grandchildren, Daniel Melton, Austin Stiles and Sierra Bickel.

Janice loved her farm and all the progress her and Dave had made with it. She was so very fond of her Black stallion, Wally, and she also loved her two black and white Harlequin Great Danes, Bo and Bob.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston.  Burial will follow in the Green Summit Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hill's.
