Janet E. (Meeker) Good

Janet E. (Meeker) Good, 81, of Kingston, entered into Heaven on November 10, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on December 20, 1942, in Kinnikinnick, the daughter of the late Raymond Gale and Eliza (Jones) Meeker. On April 30, 1961, she united in marriage with her beloved husband, Dean A. Good, who survives.

Janet is also survived by her daughter, Kristine "Kristy" Good-Bath (Dr. Manraj Bath), of Pickerington; granddaughters, Simren Bath and Kiertan Bath; sisters-in-law, Carolyn S. Meeker, Gwynne Meeker, and Karen Darnell; numerous special nieces, nephews and cousins; a loving church family; and numerous other special friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Gale Meeker and John Edward Meeker; and brother-in-law, Steven E. Good.

Janet was a 1960 graduate of Centralia High School. She served as the Assistant Canteen Office Manager at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center for 35 years. After her retirement, she worked as a travel agent at Shawnee Travel Agency for a time before transitioning to her new role at Kingston National Bank. Janet was a faithful, Christian woman who loved to serve her community. She served as a 4-H advisor, Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and was active in numerous charities. She was a dedicated member and caretaker of Crouse Chapel Church, where she served as treasurer for 25 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Crouse Chapel Church (795 Crouse Chapel Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601) with Pastor Roland Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Crouse Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet's honor to Crouse Chapel Church (P.O. Box 386, Kingston, OH 45644).
