Jamie Renae Hatten

Jamie Renae Hatten, 49, of Chillicothe, passed away on March 16, 2026 at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born on June 23, 1976, in Gallipolis, the daughter of Robin (Gillespie) Lewis, who survives.

In addition to her mother, Jamie is survived by her beloved husband, Ernest Lee Lowery Jr.; daughter, Madison Hatten, of Chillicothe; son, Nathan Gillespie, of Arkansas; beloved pets, Trixie, Stewie, Ash, Max, and Sweetie; and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

Jamie was preceded in death by her beloved pets, Sophie, Chi, and Cesar.

Jamie was a 1994 graduate of Gallipolis High School. She went on to own and operate her own bakery business, Sensational Sweets, for over 20 years. She also worked as a deli clerk for Save A Lot and Kroger, of Chillicothe. Jamie was an avid animal lover and had a passion for animal rescue efforts. She fostered and re-homed countless animals over the years. She was extraordinarily kindhearted and helped others whenever possible. She was well known for her great sense of humor and she will be deeply missed.
