Howard William Beavers

Howard William Beavers, 78, of Chillicothe, passed away on January 9, 2018 unexpectedly at his residence. He was born on November 12, 1939, in Kingston, the son of the late Howard Raymond and Myrtle (Pennington) Beavers. On June 12, 1960, he was united in marriage with his loving wife, Betsy (Ross) Beavers, who survives.

Bill is also survived by his sons, William L. Beavers (Niska Baker) and Timothy A. Beavers; grandchildren, Brittany Baker, Jordyn Baker, Brooklynn Beavers (Isaiah McGowen), and Alec Beavers; great-grandchild, Alana Grace McGowan; and siblings, Carol (Phil) Miller, Lois (Ralph) Wiseman, Gary (Mary) Beavers, and Steve (Cassie) Beavers.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Marcus I. Beavers and sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Jackie and Don Dearth and Connie and Coonie Dresbach.

Bill graduated from Kingston High School in 1957 where he excelled in sports including basketball and baseball. He retired in 2002 from Mead Research. Bill also enjoyed genealogy, researching a variety of topics, spending time at the library, playing fast pitch softball for Penton Nursing Home, and was fond of attending his monthly retiree dinners.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service at Hill's.
