Hazel Jean (Farley) Snyder

Life doesn't come with a manual, it comes with a mother. Hazel Jean (Farley) Snyder, 94, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on October 21, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1929, in McCoy, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Hibbard and Hettie Mae (Jenkins) Farley Sr.. On December 11, 1982, she united in marriage with her loving husband, Samuel Snyder, who survives.

Jean is also survived by her beloved daughters, Janice (Jacob) Search, Bobbie Duffy, Sandy (Paul) Kendall, Jacqueline (Mike) Frankel, Debi (Mike) Miller and Kym (Mark) Thacker; grandchildren who adored their "Mimi,"  Heather (Brian), Heidi, Matt (Heather), Kassie (Erin), Courtney (Jesse), Tyler (Amanda), Kylie, Jeremy, Chelsea, Holly, Ian, and Ryan; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, William Hibbard "June" Farley Jr.; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Jean was also predeceased by her children's father, Edward Baker; son, Paul Baker; granddaughter, Nicole Newland; and 11 siblings.

Jean was a longtime and devoted member of the Mount Pleasant Church, Kingston. She was a woman of strong faith, a true believer, and an exceptional wife and mother. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Matt Steinbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. and Thursday 1 hour prior to the service at Hill's. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
