Harold Edwin Tipton

Harold Edwin Tipton, 87, of Chillicothe, formerly of Laurelville, entered into Heaven on April 12, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born on June 27, 1934, in Washington Court House, Ohio, the son of the late John Henry and Ada Louise (Dozier) Tipton.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Elkins) Tipton; beloved children, Donald (Paula) Tipton, Teral (Debra) Tipton, Tammy Tipton-Cradlebaugh, John (Teresa) Tipton, David (Tammy) Tipton, Becky Tipton-Tackett, and Troy (Esther) Tipton; grandchildren, Gabrielle Rickets, Heather Morgan, Shauna Hawks, Mandy Staples, Terra Coleman, Jamie Anteck, Brian Tipton, Stephanie Carney, Sara Tipton, Michelle Hartley-Sanford, Christina Myers, Matthew Cradlebaugh, Travis Tipton, Trevor Tipton, Keith Tackett, Kaleb Tackett, and Isaac Tipton; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for Selkirk in Logan, Ohio. Harold was a lifelong musician and was well known for his talents. He was a longtime member of the Tarlton Community Church where his son, David, serves as pastor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Community Church (15290 OH-327, Laurelville, OH 43135), with Pastor Cliff Harber officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Laurelville, with military honors provided by the Ross County Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
