Harold Holdren Jr.
Harold Holdren Jr., 90, of Circleville, entered into Heaven on January 26, 2017 at OSU Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born August 4, 1926, the son of the late Harold and Tilly (Arledge) Holdren Sr. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Louise (Potts) Holdren in 2013.
He is survived by his children, Ted (Michelle) Holdren, of Kingston, Vicki (Carl) Lemaster, of Kingston, and Nancy (Chris) Speakman, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Christopher (Sara) Hempstead, Aaron Lemaster, Alycia Holdren-Vollmar (fiancé, Timothy Combs), Thaddeus (Courtney) Holdren, Shawn (Heather) Hempstead, and Sarah (John) Thornton; great-grandchildren, Chelsi Hempstead, Samantha Gearhart (fiancé, Ryan Speakman), Thaddeus Chase Holdren, Hunter Hempstead, Logan Holdren, Abbigail Vollmar, Ashtyn Vollmar, Josh Sharrett, Isaac Thornton, and Morgan Thornton; step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Ricardo) Pinnix-Duque and Tiffanie Pinnex; step-great-grandchildren, Kateland VanHoose, Elena Duque, Alexa Duque, Sophia Duque, Nancy Crisp, and Kerusso Pinnex; sister, Kathy Holdren; special cousins, Sonny DeLong and Bob Ogan; special friends, Ann Blake, Linda Miller, Mike Gahm, Wayne, Virginia, Beth, and John Roberts, Ronnie Phillips, Danny Phillips, David Rittinger, Marvin Rittinger, and Lolelita Holdren; and his beloved dog, Blackie.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and David Holdren.
Harold proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII in the 771 Tank Battalion serving under General George Patton's command. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 291, Kingston.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. John Ruiz officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours will be held at Hill's on Saturday from 4 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Harold's name to the American Legion Post 291 (P.O.
