Glenn Edward Dickson
Glenn Edward Dickson, 88, of Circleville, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018 at Logan Elm Health Care Center, Circleville. He was born on September 29, 1929, in Lancaster, the son of the late William Denver and Mayme (Stebleton) Dickson. On April 16, 1960, he was united in marriage with his loving wife, Wanda Faye (Malone) Dickson, who preceded him in death on July 31, 2000.
Glenn is survived by his children, Beverly (Robert) Congrove, of Tarlton, Patty (Joe Neff) Stanlake, of Laurelville, Lisa (Bruce) Hammond, of Tarlton, Nancy (Roy) Funk, of Kansas, Glenna Dickson, of Arizona, Scott (Lori) Dickson, of Tarlton, and Paul Dickson, of Laurelville; 21 grandchildren; and numerous special great-grandchildren whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents and wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his siblings, Merle, Benny and Harold Dickson, Ilene Hartley and Marcine Hartley; and longtime special friend, Elsie Brown.
Glenn proudly served his country in the US Army Air Force during World War II working in plane maintenance. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Circleville, AMVETS Post 2256, Circleville, and Red Men Lodge, South Bloomingville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 – 7 p.m. at Hill's. Condolences can be made on Glenn's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
