Gladys B. Yaple
Gladys B. Yaple, 92, of Chillicothe, entered into Heaven December 10, 2012 in Chillicothe. She was born Jan. 26, 1920 the daughter of the late Arno and Mazie A. Coffenberger Evans. On Sept. 4, 1939, Gladys married Donald Preston Mercer, who died March 18, 1948. On April 28, 1962, she married Harold Karshner who died Feb. 3, 1991. On Feb. 15, 1994, she married Harold Yaple who died Aug. 22, 1999. She was also predeceased by an infant sister, Goldie Evans; and sisters, Evelyn Schwalbach and Zelma Tyler.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara A. (Richard A.) Cooper, Chillicothe; Suzanne (Francis) Bowsher, Laurelville and Jeanne Flesher, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Michael A. (Barbara) Cooper, Cynthia A. (Matthew) Morris, Dixie Mollenkopf, Andrea (Kevin) Turner, and Aaron (Jennifer) Flesher; great grandchildren, Erik and Elise Cooper, Zachary and Joshua Morris, Joseph and Luke Turner, Sarah and Nathan Flesher; nieces and nephews.
She was a lifetime member of the former Walnut Valley U. M. (EUB) Church as Sunday School Supt., pianist, song leader, secretary and Sunday School teacher. She presently attended Colerain U.M. Church. She was a Centralia High School graduate.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15, 2012 at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev Gene Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallsville cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Online registry at hillfhkingston.com
