George H. "Bud" Haughn

George H. "Bud" Haughn, 84, of Laurelville, died on January 15, 2016 at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center surrounded by his family. George was born on March 22, 1931, the son of the late James Haughn and Ethel Mercer. He was a 1949 graduate of the Laurelville-Perry High School.  On February 11, 1955, he married the late Ann Haughn and they remained life long residents of Laurelville, OH.

George is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Harold) Arledge, Laurelville; sons, James C "J.C." (DeeJah) Haughn, Laurelville, and George A "Tony" (Marsha) Haughn, Adelphi; grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Easter, Kingston, Nicole (Roger) Shaffer, Circleville, Daniel Arledge, Laurelville, Nakiah Haughn, Laurelville, Austin Haughn, Laurelville, Ashley Haughn, Buckeye Lake, Kaley (Charley) Warner, Ashville; great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Zachary Easter, Alexandra, Charley, and Chase Warner, Izabella and Azlin McClain, and Titan Haughn; sisters, Elnor (Ronnie) Flowers, Logan, and Barbara (Jerry) Bennett, Lancaster; special brothers-in-laws, Jeffery and Terry Unger, Adelphi; and many other special family members and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 60 years.

George proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a tank operator. He was also a member of the Local 18 Operator Engineers Union and the Logan Elm Masonic Lodge #624, Kingston.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Jim Vandagriff officiating . Burial will follow in the Green Summit Cemetery.
