Franklin Delano Haynes
Franklin Delano Haynes, 88, of Chillicothe, died on July 21, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Franklin was born on February 9, 1937, in Hallsville, the son of the late Delano and Ida Elizabeth (Dearth) Haynes. On December 28, 1958, he married Barbara Sue (Detillion) Haynes, who survives. They were married for 67 wonderful years.
They had two great children, Trena Lee (Ken) McCorkle, of Chillicothe, and Gregory Franklin (Julie) Haynes, of Marysville; three grandchildren, David McCorkle, Kathryn Haynes, and Gregory Franklin Haynes Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Haven Rose Haynes; and brother, Charles Haynes.
In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his sister, Treva Fausnaugh and brother, Eugene Haynes.
He was a graduate of Centralia High School and he retired from DuPont, of Circleville, after 32 years of service. He was a member of Overly Chapel Church. Franklin loved to fish and he is now catching the big ones in Heaven!
The family would like to thank everyone at National Church Residences Hospice for all their help, especially, Dorothy and Aaron, and Chillicothe Fire Department for all of their dedication and care during Franklin's illness.
Private Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville. There will be no public visitation. Condolences can be made on Franklin's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
