Frances Ethel (Carney) Ott

Frances Ethel (Carney) Ott, 91, of Laurelville, passed away on January 8, 2017 at Logan Elm Nursing Home, Circleville. She was born on January 17, 1925, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Charles and Leo (Morrison) Carney. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, LeRoy Junior Ott on October 13, 1991.

She was also predeceased by her siblings, Sam (Helen) Carney, Tom (Bernice) Carney, Stillman (Monk) Carney, Urill (Melvin) Arledge, Blanche (Walter) Hettinger, and an infant brother.

She is survived by her beloved children, Larry (Christine) Ott, Ron (Susie) Ott, Gail (Richard) McCabe, Lee (Kim) Ott, and Gerald "Jib" Ott; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church. She also loved spending time with her family, taking care of others, and was a wonderful cook.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Church, 15290 St. Rt. 327, Laurelville, with Rev. James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
