Eugene "Skeeter" Russell Strausbaugh Jr.

Eugene "Skeeter" Russell Strausbaugh Jr., 63, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 1, 1955, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Eugene Russell and Mildred (Minor) Strausbaugh Sr.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Diane (Kight) Strausbaugh; children, Shasta (James) Lewis, Heidi (Jamie) Chaffin, Shane (Joni) Strausbaugh, Amber (Scott) Tilton, and Jake (Tiffany) Strausbaugh; grandchildren, Latisha Lewis, Trevor Lewis, Adrian Lewis, Jacey Chaffin, Tate Tilton, Waylon Strausbaugh (Turd Bird), and Alyssa Strausbaugh; sisters, Peggy Krc, Teresa (Dave) Adkins, Becky Strausbaugh, and Faithann (Carvel) Hertenstein; and numerous special nieces, nephews, and friends whom he cherished.

Eugene thoroughly enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and hunting. Eugene will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the Adena Hospice team for their immaculate care of Eugene during his illness including Candice Howell, Sherry Smith, Kelly, and Jamie.

In accordance with Eugene's wishes, cremation has been observed. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on Eugene's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com .
