Donald Eugene Roe, 78, of Laurelville, went to be with the Lord November 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and love ones. Don was born June 11, 1938, in Adelphi, Ohio, son of the late Jessie J. and Florence (Hettinger) Roe.

Don enlisted with the US Army in September 1959 stationed at Ft Bragg, NC and proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the 82D Airborne Division. Don finished his career as an ASA GM Certified mechanic and as a hobby he loved to assemble small model engines. He loved spending time outside with family playing horseshoes, baseball and he loved to roller skate with his girls. Don was a long time dedicated member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church and was well known by his friends and the community for always lending a helping hand.

Don was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life Dorothy L Nungester November 16, 1962 and shared 54 wonderful years together. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters, Melisa (Todd) Roach, of Laurelville, Jeanette (James Gilliland) Roe, of Jackson, and Pamela (Matthew) Hayes, of Laurelville; sisters, Jessie Hart, of Circleville, Geraldine Woods, of Chillicothe, and Linda (Ron) Cubbage, of Greenfield; brothers, Cecil (Ellen) Roe, of Amanda and Ralph (Debbie) Roe, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jennifer (Junbug) Wagner, of Laurelville, Ashley Walters, of Jackson, Ryan Sickels, of Jackson, Joshua Hayes, of Laurelville, Nickilas Hayes, of Laurelville, and Marissa (Paige) Roe Gilliland, of Jackson; step grandchildren, Brandon Gilliland, of Coalton and Anna (Nikki) Gilliland, of Jackson; great grandchildren, James Michael Wagner, Logan Doles, Chase Walters, Liam Wagner, R.J. Sickels, Owen Walters, J.J. McGeary, Emmry Gilliland, Journeigh Gilliland, Bryson Sickels, Allison Gilliland, brother in law, Roy Nungester; sister in laws, Martha Hutchison and Norma (Norman) Poling and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Roe; mother, Florence (Roe) Wise and great grandson, Jason Doles.
