Donald Ray Elkins, Sr. Donald Ray Elkins, Sr., 77, of Chillicothe, entered Heaven Feb. 27, 2013 at Adena. He was born Jan. 3, 1936 the son of the late Romie and Louisa McCoy Elkins. He was also predeceased by his wife, Karen (Mead) Elkins; brother, Jimmy Elkins and son-in-law, Howie Payne. Surviving are his children, Donald (Tammy) Elkins, Paula (Ray) Lawrence, Sandi Payne, William Todd Elkins, Mathue Elkins, all of Chillicothe, Linda (Eddie) Burns of Gallagher, WV; sisters, Charlotte (Roger) McCormick and Yvonne (Wallace) Skeens and  Billie Elkins; 19 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was the owner of D & K Bait shop for over 33 years, retired a Kenworth employee, and was a Korean Army veteran. Funeral services will be  Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston.  Burial with the Ross County Honor Guard will follow in the Springbank Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hill's.
