Denny Roger Hart

Denny Roger Hart, 71, of Circleville, passed away on September 10, 2026 at OSU Medical Center. Denny was born on June 13, 1955, in Columbus, the son of the late Floyd Hart and Eunice Opal (Thompson) Hart, who survives. On August 14, 1976, he united in marriage with his loving wife, Barbara Jane (Baylous) Hart, who survives. Together they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage.

Denny is also survived by his beloved daughter, Leighann (Eric) Cook, of Circleville; grandchildren, Tyler Cook (fiancé, Elizabeth Brown) and Taylor Cook; brother, Rollie Hart; mother-in-law, Ruby M. Baylous; special childhood friend, Jerry Grunden; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

In addition to his father, Denny was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Mills; father-in-law, Gerald “Frank” Baylous Sr., brothers-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Baylous Jr. and Roger L. Baylous; and sister-in-law, Nancy Hart.

Denny was a 1973 graduate of Logan Elm High School, after proudly attending Laurelville School District for 11 years prior to its consolidation. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Hocking Technical College. Over the years, Denny worked in the timber business and owned his own construction business, Denny Hart Builders. He retired from PPG Industries in Circleville after 34 years of service. He was a talented woodworker, having built everything from houses to toys. Denny was also an avid cat lover, having cared for and loved many cats over the years. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Nick Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery, Circleville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hills.
