David "Dave" Edward King

David "Dave" Edward King, 67 of Kingston, Ohio passed from this life at 3:04 PM Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 17, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of David L. King and Thelma A. Rhinebarger King.

Dave was a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and shortly thereafter enlisted into the United States Marine where he was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He later retired from Burhnam Boiler. He was also a self-employed carpenter for over 35 years having worked with several contractors. He enjoyed spending time with family and was interested in helping the poor and needy whenever he could.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his life partner & companion, Suzanne "Suzi" Wittenmyer Shaffer; a son, Stephen (Kayla Bellville) King; granddaughters, Bailey King and Isla King; great granddaughter, Harper Mohler; a sister, Vicki "Vic" (Don) German; two brothers, Greg "Curly" (Angie) King and Eric (Wendy) King; numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his father, Dave was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa King Halley.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating.
