Dane F. Strausbaugh

Dane F. Strausbaugh, 91, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on May 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 7, 1924, to the late Rance and Chloe (Russell) Strausbaugh. He grew up on his parent's farm on Charleston Pike. On July 19, 1947, he was married to the late Bonnie Roe Strausbaugh. They were married 62 years. They had six children, Andra Stanley, Eric (Anita) Strausbaugh, Craig Strausbaugh, Laura (fiancé Randy Sweptson) Wilson, Brad (Abby) Strausbaugh. Daughter, Denise Strausbaugh and brother, Eugene preceded him in death. Dane is survived by his grandchildren, Neil (Abby) Atwood, Erica (Rusty) Lanning, Emily Strausbaugh, Sarah (fiancé Justin Swanson) Strausbaugh, William Tolbert, Bethany Tolbert, Julia Strausbaugh, Clayton Strausbaugh, and Colton Strausbaugh; great grandchildren, Tyler, Mackenzie and Madalynn Lanning; and many nieces and nephews.

The Mead Paper Corporation employed Dane for 43 years. He enjoyed working on his family farm raising cattle, bailing hay, and many hours of gardening. He was active with the Hallsville Community Center and attended Mt. Pleasant Church in Kingston. Many thanks for his care that was provided by Melinda Cutright and Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Church in Kingston, Green Twp. Fire Department, or National Church Residency Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Bennett officiating. Burial will take place in the Hallsville Cemetery.
