Daisy L. (Danner) Thompson

Daisy L. (Danner) Thompson, 87, of Laurelville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Logan Elm Healthcare from a brief illness. She was born on March 9, 1936, in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Charles and Genavieve (Holland) Danner.

Daisy was a homemaker and a wife who traveled many places with her husband, Tom, during his military career.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irving (Tom) Thompson; brothers, Melvin Danner, John R. Danner Sr., and Herman Danner; brother-in-law, Jim Cutright; and nieces, Nancy Dudgeon, Genava Danner, and Tina Flink.

She is survived by her brother, David (Joyce) Danner; sister, Nellie Cutright; sisters-in-law, Kazuko Danner, Jo Marie Danner, and Liz Gagne; as well as, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lori Wooddell.

The family would like to thank OhioHealth Berger Hospital, Logan Elm Healthcare, and Heartland Hospice for the great care of Daisy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Laurelville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 - 7  p.m. at Hill's.
