Clark Donald Whitten
Clark Donald Whitten, 82, of Bainbridge, died Aug. 22, 2012 at the Veterans Medical Center, Chillicothe with his family at his side. He was born Nov. 10, 1929 in Chillicothe the son of the late Guy and Marie Lauerman Whitten. On Dec. 4, 1955, he married Phyllis Hamilton, who survives. Clark was a Korean Army veteran and had retired from farming.
Also surviving are a son, Craig (Melody) Whitten, Bainbridge; daughter, Carrie (Rick) Penrod, South Salem; brother, Fred (Mary) Whitten, Chillicothe; sisters, Doris (Frank) Dearth, and Rosella Ballentine, both of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Carolyn Whitten, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Donald (Amy) Penrod, Major Shane (Catherine) Whitten, Tyler and Tisha Whitten; great grandchildren, Valery, Eden, Cole, Isabell, and Mabel.
Clark was also predeceased by a brother, Glenn; sister, Norma Bower and brother-in-laws, Morgan Ballentine and Wayne Bower.
A private burial in the Springbank Cemetery will follow cremation. A family memorial service will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hill Funeral Home, P.O. Box 183, Kingston, Ohio, 45644.
