Clarence George Gray
Clarence George Gray, 86, of Kingston, Ohio, entered into Heaven on February 20, 2025. Born on November 6, 1938, in Chillicothe, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ernest and Thelma (Coffenberger) Gray, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness—principles he carried with him throughout his life.
Clarence is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Maryellen (Tatman) Gray. He was a cherished father to Theresa Gray, of Fremont, Ohio; Tammy (George) Ginter, of Kingston, Ohio; and Michael Gray, of Brooklyn, New York. He was also a grandfather to Amber (Ben) Ginter-Johnson, of Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a special cousin, Bob Gray; and his brother-in-law, Fred Ginther.
Clarence was a 1956 graduate of Southeastern High School. He dedicated more than 40 years of employment to Mead Paper, where he was known as a hardworking, dependable, and respected colleague. Clarence was also a long-standing member of the former Kingston United Methodist Church.
A man of quiet strength and deep compassion, Clarence will be remembered not only for his warm smile and gentle nature but also for the countless lives he touched. His legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and others.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Jammie Wilhelm officiating. Following the service, Clarence will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 - 6 p.m. at Hill's.
