Charles Picklesimer

Charles Picklesimer, 83, of Chillicothe, passed away on January 20, 2016 unexpectedly at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 22, 1932, the son of the late Elbert and Madge (Pelfrey) Picklesimer. On August 10, 1957, he married his wife of 55 years, Esther (Miller) Picklesimer, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Janet (Dave) Lovett, of Arizona, Donna (Brad) Thompson, of Circleville, Mike (Bonnie) Stauffer, of Chillicothe, and Faith (Jack) Branham, of Chillicothe; brother, Jim (Mary) Picklesimer; grandchildren, T.D. Lovett, Marci Wippel, J.T. Thompson, Brooke Clark, Brent Stauffer, Charlie Seeling, Jessica Gire, Travis, Daniel, Chris, Scott, and Caitlyn Branham; great-grandchildren, Adelaide and Aneleise Lovett, Austin, Brad, and Jaylyn Wippel, Case Thompson, Adeline Clark, Anna, Emma, Hayley, Easten, Jace, Coy, Cale, and Bella Branham, Brayden Kirkbride, Hayden Easter, Cadence and Karlee Seeling, and Taylor and Andrew Stauffer; and several other special family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; wife; brother, Bob Picklesimer; sister, Lorrain Manbeavers; grandson, Andy Stauffer; granddaughter, Riley Wippel; and step-mother, Viola Picklesimer.

Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as an ammunition specialist. He was a member of the American Legion Post 617 in Williamsport.  Charles also enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals sports fan.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 24 at 4:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Bruce Hines officiating . Military honors will be provided by the Paint Valley Cadet Corps. Friends may call at Hill's on Sunday from 2 until the time of the service.
