Charles "Ronny" French

Charles "Ronny" French, 74, of Grove City, formerly of Kingston and Chillicothe, passed away on November 24, 2024, at OSU Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on December 9, 1949, in Circleville, the son of the late Charles Junior and Marilyn Kay (Roll) French. He is survived by his loving wife, Thressa "Tracy" (Spetnagel) French.

Ronny is also survived by his special pup and snuggle buddy, Gabby Jane; his step-children, Tammy Tull and Wesley (Kiley) Tull; step-grandchildren, Bethany Tull, Grace Tull, Seth Strausbaugh, and Ethan Strausbaugh; brothers, Rick (Jennifer) French and Terry (Jody) French; sister, Peggy Pickell; aunts, Shirley Ann Lipker and Joyce Roll; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other family members and friends.

Ronny graduated from Zane Trace High School in 1968 and retired as a millwright from Mead Paper Company, Chillicothe, after over 30 years of service. He was a co-founder of the Kingston Kickers and served as the lead line dance instructor for 30 years, where he met his wife Tracy. Ronny also retired as a firefighter from the Green Township Fire Department after 22 years of service and was a past member of the Logan Elm Masonic Lodge #624, Kingston. He was an original committee member and parade chairman for the Kingston Geranium Festival and later, a board member for the Kingston Summer Fest. Ronny had a soft spot for all animals and has been reunited with each of them including: Princess, Tootie, Taffy, Mopsy, and his kitties.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m. at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill's.
