Charles Robert "Bob" Britton
Charles Robert "Bob" Britton, 94 of Chillicothe died March 14, 2012 at the Chillicothe Veterans Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1917 the son of Carl and M. Pearl Britton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife, Eunice; brothers, Gene and Hoyt Britton; and sister, Patty Davis.
He is survived by daughters, Bobbie Britton, Kingston and Nancy (Ernest) Hattan, Hillsboro; brother, Garry (Joyce) Britton, Chillicothe; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bob was a veteran of World War II, had been employed by the B & O Railroad, Unioto School Bus driver, the Federal Reformatory of Chillicothe, the U.S. Post office and had been a farmer. He also was a race horse owner and driver belonging to the Ross Co. Harness Assn. Bob was also a member of American Legion Post 62 and VFW.
Graveside services will be Sunday 2:30 p.m. at Hardin Creek cemetery, Leesburg with Rev. Bennett officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston.
