Carolyn Muriel Koker
Carolyn Muriel Koker, 86, of Kingston, died peacefully on December 30, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was born the daughter of Ace and Maxine (Heartley) Wade on September 3, 1939, in Athens, Ohio.
Carolyn lived a full and happy life. She graduated from Guysville High School Class of 1958 and earned her Associate's Degree from Franklin University. She retired from Ohio University Counseling and Psychological Services, where she worked as an office manager. She enjoyed crafting, traveling, watching dog races and playing Skipbo. She especially enjoyed watching her family members play sports. Carolyn always loved helping others and she loved flowers both real and artificial.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beverly Ann Wade Stinnett; brother, Ace Wade; grandson, Adam Kemp; and daughter-in-law, Lori Koker.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte (Ed) Boysel; children, Valerie Koker, Richard A. Koker and Allen Koker; her five grandchildren, Erika (Matt) Warren, Tina (Mitch) Adams, Arik Koker, Kaylee Koker, Shane (Jessica) Merriman and DJ (Heather) Merriman; and great-grandchildren, Brianna and Braylin Kemp, Kendle and Kenley Stern, Areyana and Lily Karshner, Kaydence and Aubrey Adams, Brayden and Wesley Koker, Willow Merriman, Hadley, Carson, Levi and Mia Merriman, and many extended family members.
Per her wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Cremation has been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's honor to Ohio University Body Donation Services (Heritage Hall, Athens, OH 45701).
