Carolyn Sue (Steinbrook) Strausbaugh

Carolyn Sue (Steinbrook) Strausbaugh, 89, of Kingston, entered into Heaven on February 28, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 12, 1935, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Fred and Ocie (Allman) Steinbrook. On May 1, 1957, she united in marriage with her beloved husband, Francis Sherman Strausbaugh, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2019.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Jodi L. Carter, of Kingston; granddaughter, Ashley (Andy) Willard; great-grandchildren, Alexia and Ava; brother, Ronald (Janet) Steinbrook, of Chillicothe; special friends, Jan Ramsey, Sharon Dailey, and Karen Streitenberger; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sharon Dee; and siblings, Fred (Charity) Steinbrook, Loretta (Don) Strausbaugh, and Phyllis (Charles) Upton.

Carolyn was a 1953 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carolyn loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Charleston Pike, Chillicothe. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's honor to the Ross County Humane Society (2308 Lick Run Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601) or a preferred charity.
