Caroline (Kreisel) Roos
Caroline (Kreisel) Roos, February 14, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, North Carolina, at the age of 80. She passed away peacefully of complications from lung cancer, surrounded by her three sons, Scott Roos, Richard Roos, and Tedd Roos.
She was born at 12:01 am on October 21 st , 1936, at Berger Hospital in Circleville, only daughter of Esther Kreisel and Forrest Wayne Kreisel, sister of John Kreisel. She grew up in Kingston, Ohio and lived much of her life there, learning to love children and music. She played piano and organ in her church and later graduated with a degree in Education from Ohio Wesleyan University.
As a dedicated and devoted teacher throughout her life, she ended her career teaching GED preparatory classes at Pickaway-Ross Vocational School and retired to North Carolina several years later.
She is survived by her three sons, and seven grandchildren, who reside in St. Louis, MO; Lakewood, OH; and Fredericksburg, VA.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 am at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, Ohio. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Attendees are welcome to stay after for a time of remembrance and refreshment.
Recognizing her faith in Christ and commitment to educating and empowering young people, and keeping with the ways in which she took pride in and supported her sons' own philanthropic involvement, memorial gifts can be given to the following organizations to which she herself donated:
