Carole Augusta (Holbrook) Kerns

Carole Augusta (Holbrook) Kerns, 84, of Kingston, passed away on June 13, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 1, 1936, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Holbrook.

Carole met and married the love of her life, Lawrence (Toots) Kerns in Norfolk. Toots preceded her in death in 2012.

Carole is survived by her loving son, Andrew (Watseka) Kerns; sister, Mary Lou Rowe; special niece, Sharon Paoloni; special nephews, Gary White, Miles White, and Harry Holbrook; numerous other nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

Carole volunteered many years at Zane Trace Elementary before accepting a position in the Zane Trace Cafeteria. She retired in 2011. After retirement, she and friend, Cate Boggs, had many wonderful overnight trips to stage performances of stars, dance troupes, and Cirque du Soleil.

To honor Carole's wishes, there will be no calling hours or memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to aid with expenses.
