Carol F. Veenhuis

Carol F. Veenhuis, 73, of Kingston, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on June 3, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Eugene and Gladys (Sutton) Muller.

Carol graduated from Pershing High School in 1961 and married the love of her life, William Veenhuis on May 1, 1964.

She is survived by her husband, William Veenhuis; son, William (Michelle) Veenhuis Jr.; daughter, Lisa (Blair) Torchick; grandchildren Kyle Veenhuis, Evan Veenhuis, Anna Veenhuis, Sara Veenhuis, Paige (Ryan) Miller, Taylor (Nathan) Rinehart, Logan Torchick, Hunter Torchick, and Chase Torchick; and many other special family members and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Floyd and Mel.

Carol was a homemaker and in her later years worked as a substitute teacher. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, tending her cactus & flower gardens, playing board and card games with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 10 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 1 – 8 p.m. and one hour before the service on Thursday at Hill's.
