Bruce Allen Morrison

Bruce Allen Morrison, 61, of South Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2017 at Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus.  He was born, in Columbus, on April 10, 1956, the son of the late Earl and Bonnie (Bish) Morrison.

Bruce was also preceded in death by his brother, Reynold K. Morrison; grandson, Jason Allan Hoop Jr.; and two loving dogs, Ginger and Princess.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Christine Kirk, of South Bloomfield; ex-wife and mother of his children, Mary Jo (Jeff) Smith, of Circleville; sons, Jason (Amber) Hoop, of Kingston, Shawn (Brittany) Morrison, of Kingston, and Justin Morrison and his fiancé, Nicole Street, of Grove City; step-daughter, Crystal Roberts, of Columbus; grandchildren, Layne, Justin Jr., Layla, Eric, Alexis, Zoee, Phoenix, Jade Gunn, Deangelo, Daeshawn, De'Juin, and Demetrise; sister, Shirley Rhoden, of Columbus; uncle, Gerald Bish, of Grove City; beloved dog, Shania; his best friend and brother of 52 years, Dennis Myers, of Ashville; and numerous other special friends and family members that he loved with all of his heart forever.

A great man who fought until the end, Bruce Allen Morrison was a wonderful, loving, caring, generous, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a special man that had a bond and love for old cars and oldies music. He has many childhood friends who will stay in his heart forever and in ours. He had such a beautiful spirit and sense of humor about him. Bruce will live in our hearts and memories until the end of time.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Eric Umsted officiating . Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Grove City.
