Bruce G. Copeland

Bruce G. Copeland, 79, of Chillicothe, died on August 25, 2021 at Berger Hospital, Circleville. He was born on January 5, 1942, in Hopetown, the son of the late Terrence E. and Leona Faye (Ratcliff) Copeland. On August 26, 1962, he united in marriage with his loving wife, Patricia (Coder) Copeland, who survives.

Bruce is also survived by his son, Gary (Lisa) Copeland, of Chillicothe; daughter, Joy Post, of Laurelville; three grandsons, Aaron Copeland, of Lemon Grove, California, Jordan Copeland, of Chillicothe, and Alexander (Jessica) Copeland, of Chillicothe; great-grandson, Henry Copeland, of Chillicothe; sister, Lois (Harold) Davis, of Texas; brother, Larry (Betty) Copeland, of Frankfort; and sisters-in-law, Judy Stewart and Nancy (John) Neff, as well as, multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Terrence Copeland; sister, Mary Bowshier; and brother-in-law, Earl Stewart.

Bruce graduated from Centralia High School Class of 1960. He was a Deacon for New Hope Freewill Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. Bruce worked for Green Township.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (2660 Blackwater Rd, Chillicothe, OH). Services have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences and floral gifts can be made on Bruce's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
