Bret Eugene Imler
Bret Eugene Imler, 66, of Circleville, entered into Heaven on July 5, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Bret was born on May 25, 1960, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Richard Eugene and Mary Ellen (Pritchard) Imler. On June 20, 1981, he was united in marriage with his loving wife, Maxine (Bainter) Imler, who survives.
He is also survived by his beloved children, Brandon (Heather) Imler and Brooke (Trent) Brownfield; grandchildren, Henry Richard Imler, Maci Ellen Brownfield, Nora Jean Imler, Savana Joyce Brownfield, Hattie Mary Imler, and Madison Don Brownfield; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Bainter, Calvin R. Bainter, May Stevens, Jean Bainter, Brenda (Ray) Huffer, and Marlene (Leo) Kunkler; special friends, Robert and Janet Salyers; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
Along with his parents, Bret was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Ruby Bainter; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donnie Bainter, Carl Bainter, Dale Stevens, and Recie Bainter.
Bret was a 1978 graduate of Logan Elm High School. He worked at RCA of Circleville for 18 years before transitioning to Rumpke, where he served as a General Manager for 20 years before his retirement. Bret served his community as a Saltcreek Township Trustee while his health allowed and was a proud member of the Moose Lodge of Logan. Bret was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Poppy.” He will be remembered for his laugh and excellent sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Imler Cemetery, Circleville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 - 7 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hills.
