Betty L. (Robinson) Coey
Betty L. (Robinson) Coey, 81, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 8, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born November 9, 1934, in Greenup, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Millard and Nevada (Dunaway) Robinson. On April 29, 1953, she was married to John A. Coey, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was an infant daughter, Brenda Sue Coey; a sister, Margret Hardy; two brothers, Gene and Edward Robinson; sister-in-law, Betty Robinson; and brother-in-laws, Paul Hardy, Richard Hunt, and William (Junior) Stevens.
She is survived by son, Jack (Stacy) Coey, of Orient; daughter, Nancy Jo (Ron) Phillips, of Kingston; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Erin) Phillips, Brandy (Donny) VanCuren, Jessica Phillips, and Savana Skaggs; four great-grandsons, Daley and Ryder VanCuren and Blake and Brayden Phillips; sisters, Mary Jo (Glenn) Bucy and Nancy Chaffin; brothers, Herb (Joy) Robinson, Russ (Sue) Robinson, and George Robinson; brother-in-law, Forrest (Mary Lou) Coey; sister-in-laws, Etta Mae Stevens and Louise Hunt; along with many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike, Tonya, Bryce, and Morgan Arledge, Scott, Rhonda, Cole, and Caleb Arnold, Carol Patterson, Brenda Alley, Ted and Michelle Holdren, and Wes Harber.
Betty was a member of the Mount Pleasant Church in Kingston. She loved going to church when she was able. Betty loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was teaching her great-grandsons to cook before she got sick. She enjoyed spending time with family in Texas. She enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's on Tuesday from 2 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Green Township Fire Department (P.O. Box 700, Kingston, OH 45644) or Heartland Hospice of Circleville (116 Morris Rd, Circleville, OH 43113). Condolences can be made on Betty's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com .
