Betty J. (Goldsberry) Reutinger
Betty J. (Goldsberry) Reutinger, 89, of Dry Run Road, Kingston, went to be with our Lord on June 28, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 8, 1926, in Ross County, to the late Marshall and Marjorie (Enoch) Goldsberry. On February 20, 1946, she married Robert M. Reutinger, who passed away on September 23, 1987.
She graduated from Huntington High School in 1944. She had worked at Kroger during high school and after graduation Kroger sent her to Produce School in Columbus and then she was produce manager at Kroger until her marriage. From there on, she was a farm girl as her husband farmed a lot of land in Ross County.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Reutinger; brother, Harry Goldsberry; sister, Jeanette, of New York; daughter-in-law, Donna Reutinger; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa) Reutinger, Tonya (Todd) Houser, Tina Crow, and McKenzie and Madelyn Reutinger; great-grandchildren, Delaney Houser, Camden Houser, Wyatt Reutinger, and Alara Crow; and great-great-grandchild, Adilyn Reutinger.
She was also preceded in death by children, Edward Reutinger and JoAnn Reutinger; brothers, Neil, George, Jim, Bob, Tom, and Don and sisters, Helen Wonderleigh, Hazel Coey, and infant, Rosemary. In Kingston, she was known for her generosity, devoting most of her time to family and friends. In 2002, she was selected as Kingston Summer Fest Citizen of the Year in recognition of her services in the Kingston area. She was devoted to her church family where she attended the Living Water CCCU, Kingston.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. at White Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Pollard officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Services are under the direction of the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Adena Hospice.
