Anthony William “Andy” Knece

Anthony William “Andy” Knece, 57, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026 at Altercare Thornville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Andy was born on June 10, 1969, in Circleville, the son of Helen M. (Knece) Roth.

Andy is survived by his beloved children, Courtney Knece (Nick), Eron Knece, Zachary Knece, and Brittany (Jay) Jeffries; mother, Helen M. (Marshall) Roth; special grandchildren, Nyla, Ellie, Kimber, Danica, Jovianna, Deron, and Tinsley; longtime significant other, Debbie Brofford; aunts and uncle, Dema Morgan, Donna (Max) Raines, Sheila Hinton, and David Knece; special friend, George Andrews; beloved canine companions, Tucker, Gordon, and Cleveland; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

Andy was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Judy Stevens, Pam Knece, Ronnie Hinton, and Ronald Morgan.

Andy earned his certification to be a heavy duty machine operator. He worked as a bridge painter and sandblaster for RIE for many years. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed cheering on his OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He loved the outdoors, camping, and fishing. Andy was also a well known "foodaholic" who absolutely loved food and always needed snacks. He was also a home improvement guru and helped several of his family members with projects. He will be deeply missed.
