Allene Elkins Ross

Allene Elkins Ross, 90, of Laurelville, entered into Heaven on June 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Lem and Rebecca (Finley) Elkins. On July 8, 1948, she married Elmer G. Ross with whom she raised four children.

Allene is survived by her daughter, Billie Sue (Ferguson) Kuhn, of Laurelville; brother, Larry Eugene Elkins; sister, Linda Lou Tipton; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Allene was preceded in death by children, Roscoe (Bud) Ferguson, Donna (Ferguson) Harper, and Ricky Ross, and five siblings.

She was a life long member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church, an adult Sunday school teacher, and a foster mother to many. She worked at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center for many years as a nurse's aid.

F uneral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Community Church, Laurelville with Rev. Buddy Aldman officiating . Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 – 8 pm at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston .
