Alice F. Thompson Grooms

Alice F. Thompson Grooms, 80, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 9, 1938, in Columbus, the daughter of the late LaVern W. and Thelma M. (Dixon) Hoagland. On December 4, 1953, she united in marriage with her loving husband, Donald Lee Thompson Sr., who preceded her in death in 1977.

Alice is survived by her children, Donald L. Thompson Jr., Thomas (Gaila) Thompson, Deborah (Kenneth) Moss Sr., all of Chillicothe, and Carol Thompson, of Kingston; grandchildren, Donata (Vince) Wallace, Michelle (Todd) Wells, Amanda Thompson, Faye (Jerry) Wells, Kenneth Moss Jr., Jason Clark, Holly (Jason) Deem, Jennie (Justin) Carroll, Christopher (Kate) Thompson, and Alisha (Travis) Raines; several special great-grandchildren; brother, Gene (Jane) Elschlager, of Fort Myers, FL.; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston.
