Albert Eugene Houser
Albert Eugene Houser, 79, of Chillicothe, went to be with Jesus on February 3, 2026 at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family after suffering a stroke in August of 2025. He was born on November 29, 1946, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Clarence and Geraldine (Dyke) Houser Jr. On April 19, 1966, he united in marriage with his beloved wife, Loretta Kay (Wiget) Houser, who preceded him in death on July 12, 2019.
Al is survived by his son, Todd (Tonya) Houser; grandchildren, Delaney (Aaron) Miller and Camden Houser (Rachel Morgan); brothers, Larry (Debbie) Houser, of Chillicothe, and Fred Houser, of Frankfort; sisters, Evelyn Browning, Joanne (Rodney) Price, of Chillicothe, Bonnie (Roger) Mullineaux, and Pamela (Perry) Tackett, of Frankfort; brother-in-law, Ray (Mary) Wiget, of Kingston; sister-in-law, Karen Anderson, of Chillicothe, and Wyona Wiget; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends whom he cherished.
In addition to his wife and parents, Al was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Houser; brothers-in-law, Harry Wiget, Jacob Wiget, Jim Browning, and Keith Anderson; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leo and Hazel (Dean) Wiget.
Al was a 1965 graduate of Frankfort High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1966 to 1968. He went on to retire from DuPont, of Circleville, after 31 years of service. Al was a founder of Houser and Son Farm Equipment, established with his son, Todd. The family business, built on nearly 50 years of dedication and hard work, is proudly continued today by his son, Todd, and grandson, Camden.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston with military honors. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. at Hill's.
