Brent C. Davis

Brent C. Davis, 73, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on November 30, 2019 at Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 11, 1946, in Kingston, the son of the late Paul C. and Elaine (Brown) Davis. On October 4, 1968, he united in marriage with the love of his life and wife of 51 years, Judy (Van Horne) Davis, who survives.

Brent is also survived by his canine companion, Sophia; sister, Marilyn (Benny) O’Hara; brothers, Paul R. (Dee) Davis, Bernard Davis, and Rodney Davis; and many special nephews and nieces whom he loved very much and was extremely proud of.

Brent was a 1964 graduate of Kingston Union High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He served on the USS Yorktown CVS 10 Aircraft Carrier and was stationed out of San Diego, California. Brent was always proud to serve his country, which he loved very much. Brent’s great passions in his life were his wife, Judy, showing and restoring cars, including his 1969 Plymouth GTX, and his dogs. He was a great lover of animals. Brent was also a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church and was a devoted Christian.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. James Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Pickaway County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Hill’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pickaway County Humane Society in Brent’s honor. Condolences can be made on Brent’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.

To my sweet Sista friend Judy and family, Our hearts are so heavy at Brent's passing. He was a sweet person, patriotic guy, car lover, animal lover and the best Amen Corner that a church could ever want! Our family and our church family will sure miss that smile of his. We know God called Brent home and he answered the call. To live in that "Holy City".....If only we could just imagine the glory his eyes are beholding. Our deepest love and prayers that God's mighty arms of love will surround and comfort each of you. Jack and Karen Edler and Family💒💔🇺🇸🇺🇸🚘

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Judy and Brent's family. Brent was truly a BFF from our earliest days at Kingston Elementary School. We shared many hours having great fun in and around Kingston. One memory I will share involved Brent and I walking along the railroad tracks to go fishing at Congo Creek. He also was my chief mentor in all things automotive and mechanical. I shall miss him greatly. He was a wonderful friend. RIP Brent.
