I worked hand-in-hand with Ernie at Chilpaco for several years. We had many great times together even though on the job. Ernie and I had a mutual respect for each other and often talked about God and church. He was very concerned about his relationship with God. I remember one time he came to work and couldn't wait to tell me what he had seen. Looking through the window with a screen on the outside, and being night time, he looked up at the moon. While viewing the moon through the screen there appeared the shape of the cross on the moon. Ernie was certain God was trying to tell him something. Another memory is the time he took me coon hunting. Though he was slow on the job, he took coon hunting seriously and outran me through the woods as soon as the dogs barked. After retirement I have often thought of him and will cherish those memories forever. May God be with you during this time of bereavement. Ernie has moved to his new home and awaits those of you who will join him there someday. Jerry
