Stanley R. “Tom” Knell

    Stanley R. “Tom” Knell, 67, of Chillicothe, went to sleep on August 13, 2018 at 10:35 a.m. and woke up in the arms of Jesus from pancreatic cancer.  He was born March 3, 1951, in Kentucky, to the late Burley Mason and Janie (Jefferson) Knell.  On February 25, 1973, he married his loving wife, Agnes (Leasure) Knell, whom preceded him in death on September 14, 2014.

    He is survived by his son, Marvin (Lisa) Leasure, of Chillicothe, whom cared for him; son, Robert Leasure, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Dakota (Ashley) Leasure, of Richmond Dale, Logan Leasure, of Chillicothe, Zachary Leasure, of Chillicothe, and Elizabeth Routt, at home; 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden Vickers, Hudson Leasure and Ava Leasure, all at home; brothers, Charles (Shan) Knell and Danny Knell, both of Kentucky; sisters, Betty (Arthur) Glover, of Manchester, and Virginia (Tyrone) Sauley, of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to his wife and parents, Stanley was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 1 brother.

    Stanley worked at Coppel Coal and Supply since the early 1970’s up until the week of his passing. He loved working and meeting new people. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

    Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Rev. Larry Leasure officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe.  Friends may call on Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Hills.
