In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Raymond and Robert Oakley Steele; and sisters, Sharon Kay Goode, JoAnn Helen Lutz, Betty Lowery, and Marilyn June Steele.

Surviving are five children, Deborah Louise (Charles) Pockras, Glenn Bryan Steele, Deanna Lynn Elliott, Glenda Kay (Dennis) Cornett, and Robert Oakley Steele; sisters, Mary Lou Lehman and Donna Sue Hanes; sister-in-laws, Carolyn (Stanley) Brigner and Beverly S.     Glenn was the center of his family and enjoyed having everyone at his home for family gatherings. He also was a very generous man, who was always willing to help anyone in need. Glenn never met a stranger; he saw the good in everyone.

Glenn graduated from Laurelville High School in 1951.  He was a millwright at the NewPage (Mead) Corporation and retired in 2005 after 45 years of service. Glenn was a member of the Laurel Valley Baptist Church, Kingston Chapter #411 Order of the Eastern Star and the Logan Elm Lodge #624 F&AM.

You all have our sincere sympathy. We know it has been hard to watch a slow decline and so many health issues in recent years - still it will be difficult to have that empty chair for family holidays and gatherings! We will be praying for the whole family!!
