Joseph William Krafthefer

Joseph William Krafthefer, 91, of Kingston, crossed over to the place he had prepared to spend eternity with our Lord on December 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born on February 8, 1927, in Tucson, the son of the late Michael William and Glenna Emma (Rutter) Krafthefer. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Marcella (Coonrod) Krafthefer; son Gary; grandson, Joey; brother, Albert; two infant sisters, Viola and Helen; and an infant brother, David.

On July 21, 2003, he was joined in marriage to Sylvia (Flowers Aspel) Krafthefer, who brought renewed joy back into his life. She was his loving helpmate in his missionary work in the nursing homes he loved so dearly. Together they brought so much love and joy to those dear forgotten souls. Joseph is also survived by his daughter, Glenna; son, Timmy (Karen) Krafthefer; grandson, Neal (Francis) Johnston; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

Joseph became an ordained minister at Brush Arbor in 1988. He helped many ministers with their services throughout the years. Joseph, like Sylvia, had a great love for all of God’s creatures, and he took great joy moving down in the country where most of his life was spent. He loved feeding the deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds, and raccoons. He and Sylvia made sure God’s animals were well cared for.

Private graveside services have taken place at Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville. There will be no public services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on Joseph’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
